Evaluation and Offer Policy
Effective Date: September 10, 2026
This Evaluation & Offer Policy explains how Goldadex receives, inspects, evaluates, and makes offers for items submitted by customers.
1. Receipt and Inspection
After a shipment is delivered, Goldadex will complete an intake process to verify and document the items received.
Goldadex may photograph, weigh, inspect, test, and otherwise evaluate each item to determine its authenticity, precious-metal content, purity, condition, and potential value.
Carrier tracking showing delivery does not mean that the evaluation has been completed. Evaluation times may vary depending on the number, type, and condition of the items received.
2. Evaluation Process
Goldadex may use industry-standard methods and equipment to evaluate submitted items. These methods may include visual inspection, weighing, electronic testing, magnetic testing, acid testing, X-ray fluorescence testing, or other appropriate techniques.
Some testing methods may leave minor marks, scratches, discoloration, or other changes to an item. By submitting items to Goldadex, the customer authorizes Goldadex to perform testing reasonably necessary to determine authenticity, purity, and value.
Goldadex will exercise reasonable care while handling submitted items but is not responsible for ordinary effects resulting from properly performed testing.
3. Factors Affecting an Offer
Goldadex’s offer may be based on factors including:
-
The weight and purity of the precious metal.
-
Current precious-metal market prices.
-
The item’s authenticity and condition.
-
Refining, processing, and transaction costs.
-
Whether the item has collectible, resale, or gemstone value.
-
Other relevant market and business considerations.
Not every component of an item may have recoverable or resale value. Stones, non-precious materials, plated components, and other parts may not be included in the offer unless Goldadex determines otherwise.
4. Estimated Values
Any value provided by a customer before shipment is an estimate used primarily for shipping and insurance purposes.
A customer’s estimate is not an appraisal, purchase offer, or guarantee of the amount Goldadex will offer. Photographs, descriptions, calculators, and preliminary estimates cannot confirm an item’s actual weight, purity, authenticity, or final value.
Only the final offer issued after Goldadex receives and evaluates the items represents the amount Goldadex is willing to pay.
5. Final Offer
After completing its evaluation, Goldadex will provide the customer with a final offer through an available communication method, which may include email, telephone, text message, the Goldadex website, or the Goldadex mobile application.
The final offer may identify the items evaluated, the amount offered, and any additional information Goldadex considers relevant.
Precious-metal prices can change rapidly. Goldadex may revise or withdraw an offer before payment is sent if market conditions change materially, an evaluation error is discovered, or new information concerning the items becomes available.
6. Ten-Day Response Period
Customers will have 10 calendar days from the date the final offer is delivered or first made available to accept or decline it.
Goldadex may send reminders or continue attempting to contact the customer during and after the 10-day response period.
If the customer does not respond within 10 calendar days, Goldadex will continue making reasonable efforts to contact the customer. A lack of response will not, by itself, be treated as acceptance of the offer or transfer ownership of the items to Goldadex.
Goldadex may require a new evaluation or issue an updated offer if the customer responds after the original 10-day period because precious-metal prices and market conditions may have changed.
7. Accepting an Offer
Customers must accept an offer using a method authorized by Goldadex. Goldadex may require the customer to confirm their identity, payment information, mailing address, or other transaction details before payment is issued.
An offer is not final merely because the customer indicates acceptance. Before Goldadex sends payment, the customer may contact Goldadex to request cancellation of the acceptance.
Goldadex will honor a cancellation request if it is received and processed before payment has been issued. Once payment has been sent, transmitted, or mailed by Goldadex, the transaction is final and cannot be canceled.
When payment is sent, ownership and all rights to the accepted accepted items transfer to Goldadex. Goldadex may then process, resell, recycle, refine, melt, or otherwise dispose of the items at its discretion.
8. Declining an Offer
Customers are not required to accept Goldadex’s offer.
If the customer declines the offer, Goldadex will return the submitted items in accordance with its Shipping & Insurance Policy. Goldadex will pay the cost of the initial return shipment using a carrier and shipping method selected by Goldadex.
The customer is responsible for confirming that the return address provided to Goldadex is complete, accurate, secure, and able to accept delivery.
9. Differences in Item Descriptions or Counts
Goldadex’s documented intake record will identify the items received and evaluated. If the contents received differ from the customer’s description, photographs, estimated value, or item count, Goldadex will base its evaluation and offer on the items actually received.
Customers should contact Goldadex promptly if they believe an item is missing or an intake record is inaccurate. Goldadex may review photographs, shipment records, package weight, surveillance footage, intake records, and other available evidence when investigating a discrepancy.
10. Counterfeit, Altered, or Prohibited Items
Goldadex may reject items that appear to be counterfeit, stolen, illegally obtained, materially altered, hazardous, or otherwise prohibited.
Goldadex may refuse to make an offer for any submitted item. When legally permitted, rejected items may be returned to the customer.
Suspected stolen, counterfeit, or illegal property may be reported or surrendered to law enforcement or another appropriate authority as required by law.
11. Errors and Corrections
Goldadex may correct clerical, mathematical, technical, pricing, or evaluation errors discovered before payment is sent.
If an error is identified, Goldadex may withdraw the affected offer and provide a corrected offer. The customer may then accept or decline the corrected offer.
Once payment has been sent, the transaction is final except where otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Policy Changes
Goldadex may update this Evaluation & Offer Policy periodically. Changes will apply to transactions initiated after the updated policy is posted unless otherwise required by law.
